Updates...

Well, It's been awhile since I have posted anything, so I thought that I would give you an update on what has been going on with us. Well, Clete is in Vegas at the NFR today, because he got a last minute offer, and I am jealous. I guess I wouldn't have fun being there 8 months pregnant so I will get over it. Shayda has always been my little naughty child, but I thought that she was getting better until this last week. She is not listening to me very well, so I am sending her to her room every 5 seconds. She keeps telling me that she is going to tell the elves that I am the one being naughty. Oh girls with attitude. What to do? Real Estate has been alot busier this past month, so I am feeling better about it. I am down to my every 2 weeks appointments, and I have had a little trouble lately. I found out that there was something wrong with his umbillical cord, so we were worried, but have since found out that it is fine now. He is measuring a week bigger, so either he will be huge, or I will deliver early... who knows. I also tested positive for gestational diabetes so I am now off of sugar (bummer), and testing my blood sugar up to 8 times a day. Fun fun! Anyways, that is all that has been going on, so I guess you are updated!

Happy Birthday Clete!

I finally got my pictures back from the hunt, and halloween, so here are a couple. Shayda was a lion, and she was so cute. We had so much fun trick-or-treating! Shayda went with her daddy hunting the entire time. She has her own saddle, and horse, and she amazes me everytime she rides. She is already a pro rider! Well on November 6th was our 4th anniversary, and we went out to eat, and today is Clete's birthday! Happy Birthday Clete, I love you so much! You are a great husband, and daddy. We hope that you have a great day, because you deserve it! Love, Cassa and Shayda

She's a big girl now...

Shayda is just getting to big. I still call her my baby, but the truth is she is just getting smarter and older everyday. I like to get her pictures done every six months, and it came time so I decided to just get a quick one at the fillmore elementary because I would like to have some more done for our Christmas card. I thought that it would be a silly picture, but I was surprised to see how grown up she has gotten. She talks like an adult now to. She says funny things like " I have never seen that in the whole wide world" and " I am going to my room to watch cartoons because my dad is annoying me". She keeps us laughing at all times.

Never underestimate...

I can't believe I am telling this story, but I think that maybe it will help anyone who thinks that they know what their child is doing at all times. Well, every morning Shayda goes outside to play with our animals, and ride her bike, and I always stay inside getting ready for the day. I always check on her about every five minutes, and she is always doing the same thing. Well, yesterday I checked on her, and she was messing with Clete's K-9, so I told her to leave him alone, and I went back in. About five minutes later, Clete told me to go lock our pump shed, because Shayda has learned how to get into the shed, and into our freezer, and gets a Popsicle and hides to eat it. I went out to lock the shed, and realized that the door had been open, so naturally I thought that she was hiding to eat a Popsicle. I went to look for her, and she was missing. I looked in all of her usual spots, and she was just gone. I looked for about five minutes panicking the whole time that something fell on her and she was knocked out somewhere, or of the chance that someone took her. I went and got Clete, and he started looking and yelling for her. After looking for about 15 minutes total, we spotted her out in the field behind our house with our poodle. She was clear out to the next road, so Clete drove to get her. She said she was going to look for the frogs that her dad shows her when they ride horses. Keep in mind that we have 20 acres behind and to the side of our house, and we are surrounded by fields, but she has never left our yard, so I never even thought to look that way. I now know to never underestimate my child, on what she is willing to do without me around. In just 5 minutes she had gotten far enough away that I could not see her. Now I know that you cannot leave them alone and trust that they will stay around. She is definitely an adventurer. Oh ya, and she was eating a Popsicle!

Shayda's Bear!

This story got cut off my blog somehow. I put it back on because I have alot of people ask me about it. This is how far out in the country we live haha! One day Shayda was outside playing with the dogs when I heard her scream histerically. I ran to the door where I met her screaming that she had seen a ghost. I followed her outside to my old car where she said that the ghost was hiding under. I looked and saw nothing so I told her that there was no such thing as ghosts. She insisted that it was now a bear and it was still under the car. I gave up and decided to go back in when I saw my yorkie "Lily" barking at my passenger tire. I went to see what she was barking at when it hissed an evil noise at me. I grabbed Shayda and ran in the house to get Clete. When Clete came out, we popped the hood and found that there was an actual live badger behind the engine. Clete then shot the badger, and pulled it from the car. We are now having the badger stuffed so that we will always remember that scary day, and Shayda's bear. I can't believe how lucky we are. Someone was watching out for us that day.

It's a boy!

We found out on September 3rd that we are going to have a boy! We are so excited to add another member to our family. Our kids will be exactly 3 years apart, and Shayda is ready for a sibling. The day we found out, we asked her what she thought we were having, and she said a black baby. HaHa the things that kids say. I think she understands, but you never know.

I suck at blogging!

Hey guys, I am so sorry that I am so bad at this. I have not checked my blog in forever. Real estate is picking up so there is not much time. Also my camera is retarded so I can't get my new pictures on. That will come soon I hope. I have still been sick, and I will probably be for about 5 more weeks, but that is how it goes. I will find out what I am having in about 4 weeks hopefully. I can't wait! I don't care what I have as long as he/she is healthy, and maybe not as naughty as my Shayda! I just started working at a new salon. My old one closed thank goodness, and we are in a brand new one. It is beautiful. I now do nails, and spray tanning, and a little bit of hair braiding. I will put a pic up so you will understand what it looks like. I love it there because I am busy all the time, and I only work there once a week. I am trying to potty train Shayda, and she thinks its hilarious when she pee's her panties. Does anyone have any suggestions? I feel like I have tried it all. Hope I hear from you all soon.

Surprise! I am pregnant!

Hey guys, I just got a new laptop so maybe I can keep up on my blog. If you didn't get it from the title, then it is true, I am working on 10 weeks pregnant! I want to die because I am so sick. I have already been in the hospital with I.V's but I will get over it. That probably means another girl because I felt this way with Shayda.
On the other side of sadness, I know that you all heard about my sweet cousin Brooks passing away. His funeral will be on Saturday in Leamington, with a viewing on Friday at Nickle Mortuary. He passed away peacefully in his sleep from complications of diabetes. He was living in California. He will be greatly missed by all. We love and miss you Brooks!

New blog! Can you believe it?

Hello all, Can you believe that I made a blog? I can't promise that I will keep up on it, but I will sure try! Well, just to give a heads up on my family. My husband is Clete Carter, and he is a sherriffs deputy for Millard County. I am working as a Real Estate agent for Signature Real Estate, and doing nails on thursdays at a salon in Fillmore. Shayda is 2 1/2, and still as wild as ever. Shayda will be riding in the Days of the old west parade with her daddy, and she is so excited. I hope to see you all at the rodeo!
