Happy Happy Birthday to my sweet Shayda who turned the big 5 and to Justice who turned 2 both in January!! I know that many people have thought that I might go over board when it comes to their birthdays but I figure that their birthdays are so close together and there is not much to do in the winter so why not do something fun for everyone right??? Besides... if you know me very well then you know that I am quite cheap so it would have to be affordable... and it was believe it or not. Holden town owns a huge movie screen that I was able to rent from them. The cost of the movie screen was as affordable as renting the swim pool or anything else that we would have done in the winter. I also saved money by making my own decorations, and cake and ordering a few things like the invites, and the hollywood stars and the popcorn bags from oriental trading. We didn't do any food this time but we did have popcorn and movie theatre treats, pop, ice cream and cake... Yes it was a sugar high night!!! We had so much fun... we had so many friends and family there. The kids were so spoiled with so many presents from them. A big thank you to all who came and enjoyed this fun night with us... and for the wonderful gifts that my kids recieved! We got a saddle for Shayda that was going to be for Christmas but we didnt have all the extras that are on it ready in time so we decided to give it to her for her birthday and Justice got Shayda's old saddle that she has basically grown out of. Shayda looks mad in her picture because she was embarrassed...( I can't believe I have a child old enough to be embarassed by her parents haha) Justice loved it of course... he has not gotten off of it since he got it! We showed the movie "How to train your dragon"... Justice was scared of it at first and then decided to shoot the dragon with a gun he got. Shayda thought it was great but I think that she was more entertained by her cute little friends and all the ideas they had to play with the gifts she had gotten. They may have not been totally entertained by the movie but all in all they felt special and thats all that matters to me. I love my cute kids and I am so proud to be their mom! Happy Birthday my babies!

We went on January 5th for our ultrasound and found out that our baby is healthy with no concerns at this time. I was very tempted to find out what we are having but I stayed strong and it will continue to be a surprise! It is so funny how crazy it has made everyone else that we are not finding out and until recently it did not bother me at all but lately I am getting curious. I know its to late now and I still want to be surprised but I really have no inclination as to what I am having. Clete says he saw a little boy part on the ultrasound but I think it was the umbilical cord. I feel like I am carrying closer to what I was with Shayda and I am as sick as I was with her but the heart beat is lower like Justices was. Who knows. I just I hope I am prepared when this baby arrives in May!
I have had a rough couple of weeks lately. I went to my regular Dr. appointment and had a small cough but I felt good. He thought maybe I might need something but I felt fine. The next day was my sweet Shayda's 5th birthday. I had planned to take her to school with cupcakes and then spend the day doing what she wanted. My plans were changed when I ended up in the E.R because I was so dehydrated and so sick. My cough had gotten so bad that I could not keep anything down. I got tested for Influenza and it was positive. By the way, that test was awful... they shoot water up your nose and suck it out with a tube that is shoved down your nose. It was ridiculous and hurt like heck. All of that to find out that I could not take the medicine because it had not been tested on pregnant women. I spent a week and a half in bed. Poor pitiful me right? I felt awful because Clete had to take over on Shayd's birthday and I was sad that I wasn't involved. It was also Justices 2nd Birthday on January 21st. We decided to throw them both a big birthday bash this Saturday so I will share pics soon.
January has been a crazy month but it also brought me a new neice. Bristyn was born on the 24th to Weston and Mallori and she is a doll! It makes me excited for my little one to arrive! I am also looking for suggestions on an original boy name. We have our girl name but we are struggling to find a boy name that we can agree upon. So help us out! We also started our loan on our house so I am excited to be moving on with our addition. Things are changing so much and I am so excited for our future!

Surprise...

Ok... on the count of 3 say cheese...
Now... on the count of 3 say Cassa's Pregnant!!!

Haha Surprise!!! This is how I told my family... It was so funny to see their reactions. The sun was shining in the window so the pictures are not that great but still funny. Most of them are not listening and Shantel looks shocked, Alyssa looks mad ( she wasnt) and my mom looks confused ( she was)! I wanted to wait and tell everyone at 12 weeks but it was so close to Thanksgiving and with my sister being home, I thought I would wait a little longer. I am now 16 weeks and very excited! The third is so hard though. I have been so sick, and I have had a little trouble with my blood pressure. I feel like I could just lay in bed for the rest of my life, and I did for the first 3 months at least. We have no idea where we will put this baby in our house so we are adding on. It may not be completely done by the time the baby comes in May but it will have a room shortly yay! We are not going to find out what we are having. Clete is not totally sold on this idea so I have to do some quick talking to convince him but I just think that is the biggest surprise you could ever give yourself... and since we have one of each already then this is the perfect time right??? I also feel like I started showing so quickly. I have been trying to hide it but its already pretty obvious so I decided that for my own self esteem... I would start telling people. So there it is... family of 5 here we come!

My mom and the grandkids doing the fishing game!!!

This month has been so crazy... It started off with a weekend of camping and getting firewood for the winter with some friends of ours. The next weekend my mom did her annual pumpkin patch adventure except that she decided to do it at her house this year. They did a fishing game where the kids got the funniest things like vampire teeth and silly glasses.... after that they went to the pumpkin patch to pick their pumpkins... and then off to a hay ride around Leamington... we also had chilli and spudnuts... delish!!! WE had so much fun... I love how involved my mom is with the the grandkids... she always has great ideas! Shortly after that we distracted my mom to set up a surprise birthday party for the big 50!!! Isnt' she hot for a 50 year old!!! haha love you mom!!! Anyways... we had some appetizers and dessert and cake and gave her presents, and actually got to skype with Jordon and Aimee who are currently in New York. We did miss Shantel though:(. We have been having so much fun and the month is not over yet. We are putting in our flooring this week... finally and then we are heading to frightmares and staying the weekend in Salt Lake. And finally... the last weekend of the month I will be having Bunco at my house and then doing a little trick or treating with the kids!!! I love october... It really is crazy... but so much fun!!!

Clete and my nephew Ethan at the rodeo.

Our Deputy K-9 Basco's memorial

We had some pics... and our friends made a video for him.

Shayda passed her swimming lessons this summer!
It has been crazy lately again... so I thought I would catch you all up. The pictures are a little backwards but I will just go with it. I will start with swimming lessons... I had to bring Shayda to swimming lessons 5 days a week for 4 weeks... ugh. I am so glad that I am able to have the time to take her to lessons but boy oh boy it was not alot of fun for us moms (just ask Jenna haha) I guess at least I wasn't the pregnant one.
We also had a memorial for our Deputy K-9 Basco whom we lost to cancer. I know alot of people do not understand having a memorial for a dog.... but this was very important to us. He was not just a dog... he was a family member... he was a Clete's partner... and he was the protector of many people in our community including the many deputies that worked with him. He was involved in hunting down many criminals including cop killers and more. He was also involved in protecting my husband Clete in a shooting that he was involved in a couple of years ago. We owe so much to that wonderful dog. I wanted to thank all those that came to the memorial... and the ones that spoke and the ones that made the wonderful video of Basco. Many people have asked me if I am scared to live out here and I really never have been until now. He was my protector.... I will miss him.
We also had my little brother Jordon's wedding a couple of weeks ago... and I could kick myself for forgetting my camera but you can check some out on Aimee's blog. I did make their cake so you can check that out on my cake blog. The week after the wedding was the Leamarado days rodeo. I got to see alot of my family, and my Grandpa Bevan was the grand marshall!!! He is so dang cute.... we were pretty proud of him. The kids got to chase the money cow, so they had a blast!
Last but not least... My little girl went to preschool on the bus! I was so excited for her to go because she could not wait but it was a little sad that she is growing up so big. When we got to the bus stop she was so excited and then right before she got on the bus she said " Mama I'm scared"... I of course made her go and she was fine but I did feel like I was feeding her to the wolves. Its hard to live in a town that you don't know alot of people, and they don't give you alot of info on school and such. I really had no idea what was going to happen to her there but I had faith and she was fine... by the way she love love loves it. Justice misses his sister all day long... he follows me around all day repeating everything that I say because he is learning to talk. He talks quite a bit now so my house seems busy all day!
As far as my house goes.... It really is coming along. I have gotten new sinks and faucets... new hardware in my kitchen...a storage unit ... and new carpet in my bedrooms. I have the flooring for my kitchen, bathroom, and living room/dining room, but I am just waiting for my husband to have time to put it in. I am planning on painting a bunch of things as well but we will see how much I get done. Its been alot of work but it will be so worth it! Anyways thats it for now.... wow that was a long one.

Home Sweet Home ugh...

Ha ha gross isn't it!!!

Me and my kiddies!
Us again...

Shayda and Dreyden plotting to attack Jordon!

Shayda on our way home from Boulder! Check out her reflection!
Ok we have been busy again! I got my other knee done, so I am stuck in bed for awhile so I figured I would catch up on my blogging... check out my cake blog! Well I guess I will start with my house since it is the name of my blog...
Well, we have decided to wait six months before we ad on. I know what you are thinking... you have been waiting forever so why continue... well, as frustrating as it is, we had such a long process in getting bids that by the time we got our final bid, it was just way more then we wanted it to be. We decided that we could probably afford it but we don't want to always struggle, and this would make things pretty tight. So... we decided to reduce the square feet on our addition. We were going to ad over 3,000 sq. ft so I think that we have some room to take off thereby making it affordable. This would take a little longer to accomplish so by the time that we get it done, and start the loan process, the weather would be something we would have to work around, and I don't want to make a payment on something that is incomplete... So.... we wait for another 6 months.
No worries though... because in the meantime we are going to work on the home we have. We are going to get a storage unit for all of our junk ( so that we can use our camping trailor for something other than storage haha), we are going to replace all of the flooring, do some painting, and replace all of the hardware in our kitchen... including our sink yay! I would also love to get a new t.v. to get rid of our entertainment system, but that is an after thought haha! Anyways... it may not fix the fact that Justice still doesnt have a bedroom, and I will have to deal with no toy room for awhile, but at least I can get some new ness in my life! I have been saving forever now, and I can finally do something with some of it. Don't worry I am a tight wad so of course I won't spend it all! We are still adding on so I still need a downpayment so I guess I will be good! Anyways... I WILL HAVE MY ADDITION SOMEDAY!!!!!

Soo Incredibly BUSY...

Shayd got her face painted like a princess at the park on the 4th! So Cute!
This was just one of many moose that the kids wanted a pic with!
Miley, Justice, Makinley, and Shayda

I had to share a pic of my whiskey barrel because this is my first successful year with an overflowing whiskey barrel! Yay!!!
I will have more pictures to come... but my laptop broke AGAIN... so a few pics from my phone are all you get until I get my new one!!!
I guess I will start from the top of my crazy life in the last two months... I have been so busy that I have not even had a chance to rest... I am exhausted but I had a great time being busy... I guess it all started when I went to St. George with my co-workers at Signature for a great training! I stayed at our condo all by myself, and I have to say that I really enjoyed my ME time! The very next weekend was the Days of the Old West Rodeo, and Clete is on the committee so we spent three days in Delta busy with the parade that both of my kids were in, and the opening ceremony for all three days that my brother Jordon came home from Iraq just in time for. He was in the flag ceremony, and was honored for serving in Iraq! While he was home, I did not get to see to much of him because he has a darling little girlfriend that he spent every waking moment with... it was good to see him so happy!!! I miss him, and can't wait until he is home for good!!!
The very next weekend we went with some friends of ours to Boulder Mountain... we had so much fun just relaxing, eating, riding horses, and fourwheelers, and chatting by the fire!!! It is so beautiful up there! We got home just in time to send Jordon on his way... its always heartbreaking to say goodbye. I got up the next morning, and headed to Park City with my sister and all of our kids to spend a couple of days in the time share. It was alot of fun because I have not been there for so long, and it was nice to see the sights, and do a little shopping at the outlets!
Then came my birthday which fell on the 4th festivities so after I threw candy in the parade for the Lemon's salon, I spent the day in the park with my family and some friends, and rode rides, got faces painted, and had a yummy navajo taco, and then it was off to my house for dinner, and fireworks... It was a fun day! Clete also took me to the movies a couple days later for my birthday present... we went with some friends and saw ECLIPSE, and went to dinner at Outback so it was a great present!!! That is my annual present because that is all I ever want to do... I love it!!!
During all of this I also had swimming lessons... tumbling... work... work... work... knee surgery with another one coming... and last but certainly not least... planning for my house addition to get started... we still have a couple of months for loan purposes but I finally feel like it is going to happen SOON Yay!!!
Anyways that is all my for me now... but my life does not want to slow down so I may sound a little crazy on my next post too!!!
